Prof. Dr. Murat Taner Gulsen
He was born in Gaziantep in 1970. After graduating from Dicle University in 1993, he did his compulsory service in Tuzluca/Iğdır region for 4 years. After completing his specialization in internal medicine at Istanbul Çapa Medical Faculty, he received his subspecialty in Gastroenterology from Gaziantep Medical Faculty. During this period, he frequently attended domestic and international meetings. Later, with the acceptance he received from European Gastroenterology Society President Jacques Deviere, he worked in Brussels/Belgium Hopital Erasme Hospital Gastroenterology Clinic in 2005. After returning from there, he won an ESGE European scholarship in 2007 and went to Italy. Here, he worked in Università Cattolica del Sacro Cuore University Gemelli Hospital. After returning to Turkey and receiving the title of assistant professor, he started his compulsory service in Kahramanmaraş State Hospital shortly after. After completing his duty there, he went to Johns Hopkins University in the USA and worked on liver transplantation between 2010-2011 and received a certificate. After returning home, he became an associate professor in 2013 and a professor in 2018. He currently works as a faculty member at Gaziantep University Gastroenterology Department. He has numerous national and international studies, awards and certificates, and his studies are cited by international indexes.
